I've been using Kubuntu since the 12.x days, and I generally love it, but one thing that's baffled me is that Plasmashell seems to be incredibly unstable and has been for several major releases. In 14.04, 16.04, and now 18.04, Plasmashell routinely crashes when I'm not doing anything with it (e.g. Lubuntu, Xubuntu and Kubuntu 14.04 Available to Download Apr 17, 2014
I'm trying to set up a bonded-bridged connection in Kubuntu 14.04 but having trouble. Got it working with Ubuntu 12.04 server right away. Once I get those up and running, openvpn and PIA are next!
